Ashleigh is pleased to be part of Kevin Becker and Rebekah Lane's interactive installation at this year's IMMERSE, presented by Creative City.
Dreamland Maze is a topsy-turvy adventure through a 1920s dustbowl looking glass, based on Tom Waits' musical Alice. Ashleigh plays Pitman, a sly and love-sick bard, performing one original monologue and two original songs ("The Erl King" and "The Waiting Bird"), and accompanying local performer and director Jeremy Seghers on ukulele for "Waltz for the Dreaming Dead" (lyrics by Seghers and music by Gardner) and "Tabletop Joe" (lyrics by Tom Waits and arrangement by Gardner).
